After a day filled with all-sensory chocolate excitement created by UK & Irelands new generation of highly creative chocolatiers, pastry chefs and chefs, the World Chocolate Masters’ jury announced Ian Mark the winner of the national selections. This means that Ian will represent the UK & Ireland during the world final of World Chocolate Masters. He will have to compete against 17 other countries that will send their most talented chocolate chef to compete in a three-day final that will challenge them to push the limits of culinary creativity.

“The competition was extraordinary -the judges were amazed by the standard and all contestants showed true talent which is something we absolutely need to celebrate.
Ian is an absolute inspiration to the world of chocolate - in terms of technique, application and the translation of the theme into his creations. He deserved every single point and deserves to carry the weight and the joy of the UK & Ireland to the finals”


About Ian Mark
Ian is a  chef with an 18-year track record competing for culinary teams, including the RAF, Combined Services, and England. He's earned many gold medals and distinctions, including Bake Off: Crème de la Crème and crafting the RAF 100 official cake. Ian entered World Chocolate Masters as  a way for him to showcase his career growth and push himself to achieve greatness under the pressure of the competition's spotlight. After being announced as the winner, Ian said:
“ I loved the challenge of today’s competition - and bring on the final!”
